Ashford EDU 652 Week 4 Discussion 2 Hands-On E-Learning Technology
Hands On E-Learning Technology. With the wide use of software- and Web-based tools, instructional designers must often integrate screen captures into their presentations. There are different ways developers can capture a screen:
- Press the PrtSc keyboard key on a Windows-based PC. Windows will capture the current screen contents, copying it to the clipboard, from which a user can paste the contents into a Word document, PowerPoint presentation, or other application.
- Press the Alt+PrtSc keyboard combination on a Windows-based PC. Windows will capture the current window contents, copying it to the clipboard, from which a user can paste the contents into a Word document, PowerPoint presentation, or other application.
Use a software tool such as Snagit (www.snagit.com) (trial version available).
If you are new to screen captures, watch the tutorial Capturing Windows Screens (www.class- files.com/generic/screencapture/index.html). Then, capture a screen and cut and paste the screen into a Word or PowerPoint document.
Describe your screen-capture experiences here. Discuss how you might integrate screen captures into your future work. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings.
